WMG Seasonal Updates Event 2026
Our annual West Midlands Group Seasonal Updates is coming up in early March and remains one of the most important days on the WMG calendar. This full-day event brings growers, advisers and researchers together to reflect on the 2025 season, share local trial results and focus on the agronomic and business decisions that matter heading into 2026.
Held in Moora, the day combines local research, market insights and practical management discussions, followed by time to catch up with others in the region.
The Seasonal Updates is designed to be useful, relevant and locally grounded, with a strong emphasis on decision-making ahead of the new season. The 2026 program includes:
- Local trial results from Summit Fertilisers, CSBP, DPIRD and WMG trial programs
- High-value legume opportunities for the West Midlands region
- Canola establishment fundamentals and practical agronomy considerations
- Sandy soils and claying updates, including learnings from DPIRD, WMG and MIG projects
- Automation and path planning to support efficiency and future system decisions
- Drone mapping for weed control, with practical examples from industry
- Market and grain price updates from Rabobank and CBH
- A CFOP session focused on farm business considerations
- A guest presentation from Hurt to Help, recognising the importance of wellbeing in farm businesses
The day wraps up with a Rabobank sundowner and Elders drinks, providing a relaxed opportunity to connect with other growers, advisers and presenters.
